The Ukrainian Conflict: A British Perspective. Book 1 - The Year 2022

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 is regarded as the greatest threat to the peace and security of Europe since the end of the Cold War. The objective of this work is to provide readers with an overview and assessment of the current conflict in Ukraine. To ensure a 'balanced' perspective, this work draws particular attention to the social, political, economic and military aspects of the war.

The reader is presented with an analysis of the conflict on a month-by-month account based upon both media reporting and intelligence releases in both the US and the UK. The work commences with the initial invasion and progresses to the end of year 2022.

Included in the work is a selection of 'Commentaries' written by military and political observers of the present Ukrainian conflict based on their own experiences. These are both personal and thought-provoking reflections. Their inclusion will provide the reader with an overview of the conflict and inform on the implications of the war for both the present and foreseeable future.
