Time For a Quick Read

‘Time’ is the first volume of published work from the Horwich-based group, Write You Are. This supportive writing group meets each Tuesday morning, and members are encouraged to contribute by reading their own works of poetry or their short stories. The group also regularly run intelligent and fascinating sessions on subjects useful to the development of their writing craft. Some of the written work inside ‘Time’ has come about as a result of these sessions or as homework assignments.

‘Time’ is a collection of short works, ideal for dipping into while commuting, at bedtime, or on a tea break.

Have you ever felt like you want something to read, but you can’t spare the time or energy to commit to a long novel? If you have, you might want to try and rediscover the art and beauty of the short stories within ‘Time’.

Grumpy old men exist side-by-side with scientific sweet-sucking vicars, the humour of James meeting the devil, and the relationships we humans have with our feline companions. Noah takes his ark out - and he’s not the only homeless chap in this book.

‘Time’ has over 70 contributions, some poetry, but mostly eclectic (and in places quite weird) prose. But even so. Read. And enjoy.
