Our standard rate is £0.007 per word.

 

As an example, 85,000 words will be proof-edited for £595.

Higher rates of between £0.008 and £0.009 per word usually apply to

  • technical, scientific, complex or specialist language,

  • a manuscript that needs lots of work or

  • works written by an author who does not speak English as their primary language.

We are happy to assist dyslexic writers, usually without an additional charge, depending on the manuscript.

  • When there is a conflict, the STYLE GUIDE takes precedence over the DICTIONARY.

  • Where there is conflict, the GSG takes precedence over the BBG (but I follow the BBG rules for commas).
